Kevin McHale discusses role of faith in his decision making

Kevin McHale, the hall of fame Boston Celtics forward who is starting his second stint as the Minnesota Timberwolves coach, discussed his faith during a press conference yesterday.

About whether to accept the Timberwolves' offer to coach the team and step down as vice president of basketball operations, McHale said he had to give it a lot of thought and that he came to a decision while in church:

"I guess last night when I was at church; I went to 6 o'clock Mass. I sat there, and I got that calm, peaceful feeling. I thought, 'All right. I'm going to go home and do it," he said during the press conference.

Tonight is McHale's first game behind the bench.
