Ordination Mass and plenary indulgence

Come celebrate the ordination of Deacon Kirk Slattery to the priesthood for the Diocese of Colorado Springs at a 10 a.m. Mass this Saturday at St. Mary's Cathedral. Bishop Sheridan will celebrate.

You are also encouraged to attend Father Slattery's first Mass, which should be announced at the ordination Mass (we don't have confirmation of it here yet). A priest's first Mass is a special ocassion of great grace. The church acknowledges this rare moment by granting a plenary indulgence "to the faithful who devoutly participate in the Mass."
