Pope to lay ministers: No purifying sacred vessels during Mass

This is sure to ruffle some feathers and hurt some feelings, but I am all for it. It really is just common sense. I am trying to think of scenarios where this could be awkward, such as what happens if an elderly, frail priest has trouble cleaning the vessels and there are no deacons or instituted acolytes? What are your thoughts on this news?
