The war on porn...

There have been a couple of inspiring events that have happened since the Herald ran its special section on porngraphy and sex addiction in its Nov. 10 issue.

* Bishop Sheridan has approved a task force, spearheaded by therapists Dan Spadaro, Sam Meier and Rob Jackson (see our special section for more background on them), that is aimed at creating a parish-based plan to deal with acknowledgement of and recovery from pornography and sex addiction. The task force is currently analyzing a parish-based awareness program that will be implemented soon in the Archdiocese of Kansas City.

* The James 5 accountability and recovery group that just started already has 10 participants.

* Today, Arlington Bishop Paul Loverde printed an outstanding pastoral letter on this issue: "Bought With A Price: Pornography and the Attack on the Living Temple of God."

[UPDATE:] * Zenit.org published a special report on the plague of pornography last Sunday and mentioned the Herald section.
