Shorts in church

Something bothered me when I was in church this weekend. A grown man in the pew in front of me was decked out in shorts and sandals at Mass. To me, that shows a lack of respect for the Mass, as it's very informal dress. Women also seem to be adhering to inappropriate dress styles at church.

Does it bother anyone else? Personally, I like the fact that churches in other countries won't allow you in unless you are at least wearing long pants. Maybe parishes need to post a dress code. Or maybe I need to lighten up and appreciate the fact that people are present to worship.
