Thursday, a trip to Korea. As we embark out of Denver at the wee hours of the morning, we are excited to see what God has in store. Getting 88 people thru the airport, a few lost reservations, and confusion… finally we are all on the plane & on our way. Arriving at LAX confusion immediately ensues as we can’t find the international gates. With Bishop Sheridan leading the way, we finally get there half and hour and several buildings later.
On the flight to Korea, we are well taken care of by the Korean attendants who work very hard. Our first traditional meal takes place on the plane because we are in the back and, of course, they ran out of Western-style meals. The Korean ladies next to us saw us struggling to figure out what we were doing, took our spoon and mixed up a tasty meal of heaven knows what! A little sleep and many meals later, we arrive in Korea getting through customs, finding our buses and being hit by the heat and humidity... and it is night time. YIKES!! We are off to a traditional Korean dinner together before arriving at our hotel!
We know the meal will be exciting when we arrive and the table has fish already laid out for us. Bowls of boiling water await for us to crack a raw egg into with shrimps (heads included). The adventure begins. -- Cathy Kusman
